Sharon stone
Sharon Vonne Stone was born March 10, 1958 and is an American actress. She is known for her role as female fatales and women of mystery on film and TV, she became one of the most loved female sex icons of the 1990s. She has been the recipient of various awards like a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and nominated for an Academy Award. She received an award on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995. She was also recognized as an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2005 (Commander in 2021).
After modeling in television commercials as well as print ads, Stone made her film debut as an actress in Woody Allen's dramatic dramedy Stardust Memories (1980) and played her first speaking part in Wes Craven's horror film Deadly Blessing (1981). The 1980s saw Stone appeared in films such as Irreconcilable differences (1984), King Solomon's Mines(85), Cold Steel (877) and Above the Law (88). Her breakout role in Paul Verhoeven's science-fiction action movie Total Recall (1990) was her biggest role. She then gained international recognition when she played Catherine Tramell, in Basic Instinct (1992), which gave her her first Golden Globe Award nomination as Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama.
